Two more arrested in Rangamati after Myanmar separatists-BGB gunfight in Bandarban

The army has detained two more persons after the recent encounter between Myanmar separatists and BGB along the border in Bandarban.

They were nabbed from Rangamati’s Rajsthali and handed over to police on Friday.
 
Mongsoang Marma, 39, was held from Poiokri Parha in Gainda and Chosui Ong Marma, 42, from Marma rehabilitation centre at Mongboi Parha.
 
Rajsthali Police Station OC Ohid Ullah Sarker said Mongsoang was the caretaker of the house from where an accomplice of the separatist outfit, Arakan Army, was arrested on Wednesday night.
 
Chosui Ong is a former caretaker of the house.
 
Ong Yu Yang Rakhaine, arrested from the house on Wednesday night, was sent to jail on Friday.
 
On Wednesday morning, a patrol boat of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) came under attack by the Arakan Army.
 
The separatists moved back following five hours of joint operations by the army and BGB.
