Advance train tickets for Eid holidaymakers go on sale Thursday

The sale of advance train tickets in Dhaka and Chittagong for Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers will begin on Thursday.

Tickets for July 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 for the journey from the two cities to the rest of Bangladesh will be sold on July 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
 
The tickets will be available at Kamalapur Railway Station and Chittagong Railway Station.
 
The Eid will be celebrated in Bangladesh on July 20, subject to the sighting of moon.
 
The return tickets to Dhaka and Chittagong after the holidays will be available from July 16 to 20.
 
Special arrangements have been made for the sale of return tickets in Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat.
 
Railways Minister Mazibul Haque is scheduled to visit the Kamalapur Railway Station on Thursday, officials said.
 
Ten special trains will be run for three days before the Eid and seven days after the holidays end.
 
No trains will run during the three days of the Eid vacation.
 
Special trains for the return journey will run from July 20 to July 24.
