Dhaka South mayor aspirant Sayeed Khokon has said that voting has been fair and festive, dismissing allegations of his supporters not letting polling agents of BNP-backed candidates to man the centres.
After casting his vote at a centre in Old Dhaka on Tuesday morning, he told the reporters, “A fair and festive atmosphere is prevalent at the centres.”
Dismissing allegations of BNP supporters that the polling agents are being stopped from manning the centres, Khokon said: “I haven’t seen anything as such. They are levelling such accusations from the very first day.”
Meanwhile, allegation of massive vote rigging for Sayeed Khokon has been reported from the Govt. Kabi Nazrul college centre at Old Dhaka.

At around 10:30am Sayeed Khokon along with his mother and wife went to the Nazira Bazar Islamia Govt. Primary School centre to cast their votes.
The Awami League sponsored candidate Khokon said whatever the outcome, he would accept that.
