National award-winning actor Helal Khan arrested
Police have arrested national award winning film actor and producer Helal Khan for yet unclear reasons.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman told bdnews24.com the actor was picked up from Johnson Road in the capital on Monday afternoon.
He declined to be drawn into details.
Khan is a leader of BNP’s affiliate Jatiyatabadi Sanskritik Sangstha and allegedly involved with illegal telecoms business.
‘Hasan Raja’, a movie he produced, won the national film award in 2002 when he won award for his role in the film ‘Juari’ (gambler).
Khan made his silverscreen debut with Hafiz Uddin’s film ‘Priyo Tumi’. He has so far appeared in over 50 movies.
