'Boma Mizan' in India!

Jahidul Islam alias 'Boma Mizan', the deadly Jamaa'tul Mujaheedin Bangladesh (JMB) bomber, has perhaps fled to India, says Indian intelligence.

His footprint has been last tracked in Rajarhat, on the outskirts of Kolkata, about a month ago.

But it is after the Oct 2 Burdwan blast that central intelligence has started chasing leads on Mizan with renewed vigour.

The bomber was freed by his JMB comrades in a daring highway ambush at Trishal in Mymensingh when he was being been taken to court from prison earlier this year.

One of the four freed was later killed in 'crossfire' and three JMB activists including Mizan are absconding.

"Now that we can see such a huge JMB network in West Bengal and scores of places where bombs were made, it would be natural for Mizan to be in one of them directing younger comrades on the fine art of bomb making," said an NIA investigator.

Mizan is said to have been trained in bomb making by one of Pakistan's best -- Laskhar-e-Tayyab's Nasirullah -- in the early 2000.

He was trained in LET camps in Pakistan Kashmir and would know many of the top bombers used by the radical group in India.

"We would consider it a huge catch if we can get Mizan," said a NIA official.
