Two detained over Farooqi murder
Police have detained a man and a woman from Narayanganj in connection with the murder of Nurul Islam Farooqi.

They are Mahmuda Khatun, 43 and Shariful Islam, 35.
They were arrested Saturday morning from Rupganj Upazila's Murhaparha area, said police's Tejgaon Division's Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Wahidul Islam.
"They have been brought to Dhaka and are being questioned at the Detective Branch headquarters," the DMP official told bdnews24.com.
TV show host and Islami Front leader Nurul Islam Farooqi was murdered at his Dhaka home on Wednesday.
According to the victim's family, a woman had come to visit Farooqi earlier that day, saying she was an admirer.
The arrested woman has admitted going to Farooqi's home prior to murder, said ADC Islam.
