‘News on Indian troops’ presence false’
The government has dismissed the claim about the presence of Indian troops in Bangladesh as ‘completely false and fabricated’.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, it asked the people not to be confused by such claims made in the social media including Facebook.
The statement said: “It (news in social media) quoted imaginary communication between the foreign ministry and Bangladesh high commission in New Delhi.”
“That is completely baseless and ill-motivated.”
It said the foreign ministry, any other ministry or Bangladesh mission abroad had nothing to do with ‘such information’.
