Speaking to bdnews24.com, the Bhasanchar Union Parishad Chairman, said: "He will be laid to rest beside our parents' graves as per his last wish. A police team, led by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) has come here."

Sadarpur Upazila's UNO Lokman Hossain said the war crimes convict's body would be brought to his brother's house before Friday morning.

"We have requested his family members to dig a grave. If they don't do anything, we will dig the grave and administer the funeral prayers," he said.

In his immediate reaction, Molla's brother had said: "All that the Almighty does is always for the best. We have nothing else to say."
