Farabi Shafiur Rahman, arrested for threatening the Imam who administered the namaz-e-janaza of slain blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider through a post on facebook, continues to post inflammatory content after his release.
His status on Monday demanded the release of the two North South University students who confessed to being involved in Rajib’s murder.
He also demanded that the man accused of murdering BUET Chhatra League leader Dip should be released.
Farabi, who spent six months in prison, writes, “To me atheists are nothing but insects, and it is best that insects should die.”

Police arrested Farabi from the second entrance to Chittagong University on Feb 24.
He is an honours final-year student of physics at the university and hails from Brahmanbaria.
A Dhaka Court charged him under articles 57(2) of the ICT Act-2006 and section 506 of the penal code on Jun 4 for threatening the Imam.
His status on Monday says, “My remand and the North South students Anik, Dwip, Rumman, Nafis, Irad accused for killing Rajib was going on at DB’s Minto road office at the same time. I was in Kashimpur prison with Nafis and Irad.
“I, Farabi demand the Bangladesh Government to unconditionally release Anik, Dwip, Rumman, Nafis, Irad and Sadman. At the same time I demand the release of Mesbahul Islam accused for the murder of BUET’s Dip.”
