'Eva Manjil’ started to lean over an adjacent building from Sunday, Fire Service & Civil Defence Control Room official Farhaduzzaman said. The building is located in Sarulia east Hazinagar.

Fire service officials rushed to the spot after being informed, he said. “We have vacated all residents of the two buildings.”

Demra Police Station Sub Inspector Harun-ar-Rashid told bdnews24.com that gas and power connections of both buildings were disconnected.

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (Rajuk) will take necessary action, he said.

Three days back, an under-construction 10-storied building leaned over on Dhaka's Moghbazar’s Dilu road.

Though none was injured, the incident caused some panic.
Last month, a four-storied building leaned over another in Mymensingh forcing the evacuation of all residents.
The structural flaws during construction is said to be responsible for buildings leaning over and sometimes collapsing.
In April, the nine-storied Rana Plaza collapsed in Savar ,killing more than 1100 people, most of them garment factory workers employed by manufacturing units housed in the complex.
