Over 100 RMG workers fall sick
Over 100 workers of a readymade garment unit fell sick after eating food given by the factory management at Ashulia, on the outskirts of the city, on Friday night.

The factory management immediately rushed the workers to different local clinics and hospitals.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Industrial Police (Ashulia zone) Abdus Sattar told bdnews24.com that the incident happened after the management of Linda Fashions Limited, situated in Jamgora area, distributed bananas, biscuits and cakes as snacks among its workers at about 8pm.
“After taking the snacks, workers started vomiting and some of them fell onto the floor in extreme abdominal pain,” the official said.
Harun-or-Rashid, Assistant Manager of the Woman and Children Health Complex of Beron area, said 61 workers were admitted to the clinic until 10pm.
Physicians said the workers fell sick from food poisoning.
