bdnews24.com correspondent Liton Haider said the supporters of the radical group also chased away several mediapersons during their rally.
The Hifazat-e Islam had been allowed to organise their rally at the end of the Chittagong-Dhaka long march at Motijheel's Shapla Chattar on condition their supporters will not indulge in any untoward incident.
But they have attacked supporters of the Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee at Mohakhali.

bdnews24.com Senior Correspondent Liton Haider, who is covering the Hifazat rally, said nearly 100 of their supporters broke the police barricade in front of the National Press Club.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Benazir Ahmed went there and tried to talk them into leaving.

That is when the Hifazat supporters hurled water bottles at the commissioner, Liton Haider said.

Benazir Ahmed left the spot after that. Neither he nor any other police official spoke about the incident.
