Kamrul Ahsan made envoy to Canada

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Kamrul Ahsan has been appointed as the envoy to Canada.

Dhaka, July 25 (bdnews24.com) – Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Kamrul Ahsan has been appointed as the envoy to Canada.
The government has also decided to move Mahbub Uz Zaman, currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Sri Lanka as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore, says a media statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A career diplomat, Ahsan belongs to the 1985 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.
He had served in the Bangladesh missions in London, Beijing and Washington, DC and Bangladesh Consulate General, Dubai.
A graduate from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Ahsan is conversant in Chinese.
Mahbub is also from the 1985 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre and served in Bangladesh missions in New Delhi, Ottawa and Tokyo, Bangladesh's Permanent Mission to UN in Geneva and New York
He did MSS in Economics from the Dhaka University and a Diploma in French Language & International Relations from Institute Pro Linguis and AGCD, Brussels.
