Dhaka, July 8 (bdnews24.com)— Renowned artist Aminul Islam died of old age complications in the city early on Friday. He was 80.
The painter and a former teacher of the Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University breathed his last at his Gulshan-2 residence, Nasimul Khabir Duke, a teacher of the institute, told bdnews24.com.
His body was taken to the institute at 11:20am. Born in Dhaka, the artist was the first batch student of the institute.
Aminul was admitted to Apollo Hospitals and returned home last week.
