The law minister's wrong answer to a question in parliament has seen the deputy speaker requesting that it be asked again.

Dhaka, Sep 22 9bdnews24.com) — The law minister's wrong answer to a question in parliament has seen the deputy speaker requesting that it be asked again.
In a written answer Shafique Ahmed told the parliament that 43 members of the Awami League, the current ruling party, had been found involved with anti liberation activities during the Independence War of 1971.
He tabled the list of those members and added that Awami League had expelled them when it formed Ganaparishad.
But senior Awami League MP, Tofail Ahmed, drew deputy speaker Shawkat Ali's attention and said that the list delivered by the law minister was wrong.
He said Mosharraf Hossain, Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury and Khandaker Abdul Malek Prakash Shahidullah, mentioned in the list, were freedom fighters. "They were not against the Independence War, I know. The question should be answered properly."
He also requested the deputy speaker to cancel the question.
The deputy speaker said, "I felt the same when I saw the list. The question will be cancelled after discussion, if necessary."
People, included in the list as anti liberation activists, are Habibur Rahman, Syed Hossain Mansur, Mohammad Abdul Gaffar, Abul Kalam Faizul Haque, A B M Nurul Islam, Amzad Hossain Khan, Mohammad Nurul Islam, Zahir Uddin, Mohammad Obaidullah Majumder, A K M Mahbubul Islam, Mohammad Saeed, Mosharraf Hossain, 'Akhtaruzzaman', Syed Badruzzaman, Abul Hashem, Shamsul Haque, Mohammad Abdul Barek, Azharuddin Ahmed, Ghulam Ahad Chowdhury, A Hadi Talukder, Adeluddin Ahmed, Mujibur Rahman Talukder, Shamsuddin Ahmed, Khandaker Abdul Malek Prakash Shahidullah, Abu Sulaiman Mandal, Zahidur Rahman, Taherur Islam Khan, Riazuddin Ahmed, Abdus Salam, K B M Abu Hena, Zahurul Haque, Mosharraf Hossain, Habibur Rahman Khan, Quazi Hedayet Hossain, Abdul Hakim Master, Sazed Ali Mia, Masud Ahmed Chowdhury, Quazi Sirajuddin Ahmed, Ghulam Mohiuddin Ahmed, Mohammad Hashem, M Shakhawatullah, Mirza Abu Mansur and Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury.
