Dhaka, Jan 3 (bdnews24.com) – Former Supreme Court judge KM Sobhan was buried at the Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard at Mirpur Thursday afternoon.
The body was kept at the Central Shahid Minar from 11am to noon for people to pay last respects.

will be held at Malibagh Shahi Mosque near his home after

prayers Friday, elder son Rehan Sobhan said.
A civic condolence meeting will also be held at Central Shahid Minar at 3:30pm the same day.
Justice Sobhan fell ill while walking in a park Tuesday and was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Sobhan's body was be kept at BIRDEM hospital mortuary until younger son Adnan Sobhan returned from Kolkata and younger daughter Romana Nahid Sobhan from Canada.
Rehan told bdnews24.com Thursday that his brother and sister had reached Dhaka.
Among those who paid their respects at the Central Shahid Minar were Awami League, CPB, JSD and Ganotantrik Party leaders.
Members of the Sector Commanders Forum, Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee leaders and professionals and intellectuals also paid respects and laid floral wreaths on the coffin.
A funeral prayer was held on the Supreme Court premises in the afternoon, which was attended by chief justice Md Ruhul Amin and senior members of the judiciary and legal profession.
Representatives of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Bangladesh Bar Council and other organisations also laid wreaths on the coffin.
Justice Sobhan was born in Faridpur town on July 25 in 1924. He was appointed as a judge in 1971. He also served as Bangladesh ambassador to Germany and Czechoslovakia.
