Myanmar army personnel nabbed in Bandarban

Bangladesh Rifles personnel Wednesday night nabbed a soldier of Myanmar armed forces from Thanchi Bazar on charge of illegal trespass.
Dhaka, March 24 (BDNEWS) – Bangladesh Rifles personnel Wednesday night nabbed a soldier of Myanmar armed forces from Thanchi Bazar on charge of illegal trespass.
Being interrogated by the BDR, Miyon Sung (29), the nabbed person, introduced himself as a corporal of Myanmar army.
A case was lodged against him with Thanchi police station.
He was kept under the custody of BDR after taking special permission from a court in Bandarban Thursday.
"Miyon Sung reportedly defected the Myanmar side. He is likely to be sent back home through a flag meeting," said a source.
Another citizen of Myanmar was caught from Balipara are last month on the same charge.
