Four killed in 'crossfire' in Naogaon, Kushtia and Patuakhali

Three regional leaders of two outlawed parties and a wanted criminal were killed in 'crossfire' with police in Naogaon, Kushtia and Patuakhali districts early Monday.
Dhaka, Mar 21 (BDNEWS) – Three regional leaders of two outlawed parties and a wanted criminal were killed in 'crossfire' with police in Naogaon, Kushtia and Patuakhali districts early Monday.
Police recovered a shutter gun, a revolver, an LG and huge ammunitions from the spot.
Five police personnel also received injuries during the shootouts.
BDNEWS Naogaon correspondent reports: two leaders of Purba Banglar Communist Party (red flag) --Abdul Majid alias Jihad (27) and Rafiqul Islam alias Tinu (26)—were killed in shootout in the morning.
Police said both of them are accused in several murder cases including two for double murders.
In Kushtia, an accused in five murder cases --Bashir Uddin of Biplobi Communist Party-- was killed in a line of fire at Sultan area of Kumarkhali.
Bashir worked as a regional chief of the organisation.
Meanwhile, Ujjal (28) was killed at Sadar upazila in Patuakhali district.
He was accused in nine cases.
