According to India’s National Crime Bureau, Madhya Pradesh records highest number of crimes against women.

The latest vincident took place in front of the victim's 10-year-old son on June 10. But the victim reported the matter to police on June 13 after her family members brought her to Khandwa district hospital, police said on Sunday.

Media reports quoting police sources said the victim was living separately from her husband, Kailash Bhil (35), for the last couple of months due to some property dispute. According to the victim, she was called to a place in the village by her husband on the pretext of thrashing out the differences between them.
When the woman, along with her son, went to meet her husband, who along with other men was waiting for her, she was thrashed and gangraped. Not only that, they also paraded her naked and forced her to consume urine.
On the basis of victim’s complaint police arrested nine people in this connection and registered a case under IPC sections 376 (g) (gang rape), 354 (b) (act with intent to disrobe a woman), 294 (obscene acts and songs), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) against the accused.
Incidents of rape, molestation and violence against women are rapidly rising across India.
