Metropolitan Magistrate Sabrina Ali also issued a warrant of arrest against leading suspect Rezwanul Azad Rana, who is absconding.
The Court also asked the Investigating Officer to report by Mar 20 whether Rana, a leader of the Islami Chhatra Shibir, has been arrested or not.

Shibir is the student affiliate of the Jamaat-e-Islami.

Rajib Haider, an architect by profession and a passionate blogger, was hacked to death last year near his house in Dhaka’s Mirpur area.

That is when the Ganajagaran Mancha's movement was peaking.

Relatives and friends of Haider blamed the Jamaat-e-Islami for the murder, saying he was killed for the blogs he wrote to bring 'war criminals' to justice.

Police have pressed charges against the chief of the radical ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team’, Mufti Jasim Uddin Rahmani and seven students of the North South University (NSU) for the murder.
Detective Branch Inspector Nibaran Chandra Barman submitted the charge sheet at the court of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on Jan 28, nearly a year after Haider was killed.
The seven NSU students charged with his murder are Faisal Bin Nayeem alias Deep, 22, Maksudul Hassan Anik, 26, Ehsan Reza Rumman, 23, Nayeem Sikder Irad, 19, Nafis Imtiaz, 22, Sadman Yasir Mahmud, 20, and Rezwanul Azad Rana.
Rana is on the run.
The charge sheet pleaded for issuing an arrest warrant against him.
They conspired with each other to kill Rajib Haider, the chargesheet said.
