Apple accidentally gives world a sneak peek of new iPad lines

Apple has accidentally revealed its new iPads a day early, with screenshots of the latest devices appearing in the iTunes store.

The new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 tablets are expected to be revealed at the tech giant’s Cupertino headquarters at an event at 11pm BdST (Bangladesh time) Thursday.

But screenshots of what the new technology will look like appeared in the iPad User Guide for iOS 8 within iBooks in the iTunes store 24 hours early.

According to tech website TechCrunch, the iPad User Guide for iOS 8 iBook revealed the two new tablet devices will be called the iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air 2.

The leaked image has since been removed from iTunes.

Apple is also expected to unveil a refreshed Mac mini, and new Retina iMacs.

On the software front, Apple is expected to release OS X Yosemite and possibly iOS 8.1 too.

Google announced its Nexus 9 tablet and Nexus 6 smartphone, which run on its new Android Lollipop operating system.

The 8.9-inch tablet is made by HTC, while the phone is produced by Lenovo-owned Motorola.
