Bangladesh rip Tajikistan apart to seal final berth in AFC Under-14 Girls Championship

Bangladesh have hammered hosts Tajikistan 9-1 to blast their way to the final of the AFC Under-14 Girls Regional (South and Central) Championship.

Bangladesh will play against India, who beat Iran 4-3 in the other semifinal, in the final on Sunday.

The defending champions rode on hat-tricks from Tohura Khatun and Monika Chakma in the semifinal at Almosi Academy Stadium in Dushanbe on Saturday.

Anuching Mogini netted twice before Akhi Khatun struck in the 61st minute for Bangladesh.

Tohura, known as the 'Kolsindur Messi', put Bangladesh ahead in the fifth minute before Anuching doubled the lead three minutes later and added another in the 13th minute.

Tohura then made it 4-0 in the next minute and completed her hat-trick with a 70th minute strike to complete the rout.

Monika put her name on the score sheet with goals in the 16th, 44th and 57th minutes.

Bangladesh progressed to the last four of the tournament as group champions, crushing India 3-1 and Nepal 9-0 in the group stage.
