Krishna Rani Sarkar netted two second-half goals to help Bangladesh bounce back from a 3-0 defeat against Nepal in their opening tie.

Bangladesh drew first blood after the break when Sarkar found the back of the net with a left-footed dipper in the 62nd minute.

Their joy was short-lived as Sri Lanka restored parity six minutes later.

But 14-year old Sarkar slotted the winner in the 85th minute to hand Bangladesh the victory.

The Bangladesh eves will play their third match against the Maldives on Tuesday, before facing hosts India in their fourth tie on Feb 13.

The top two teams at the end of the round robin stage will lock horns for the gold medal. The third team in the points table will be awarded the bronze medal.
