120+1' FULL WHISTLE.  Belgium 2 - 1 USA. The US'  best play came when they were already down 2-0. Maybe Wondo could have ended it in regular time, but Romelu Lukaku terrorized the US defense from the moment he came on.

115'     A great free kick from the US almost unlock the Belgians!  It's one touch passing into Couetois! Amazing stuff from the US. They're alive all of a sudden.

105'    GOAAALLL! BELGIUM 2 - 0 USA. Lukaku does it again for Belgium. He's the sub that changed the game. He set up the first and drilled the second high into the near post side of Howard's goal. Again, Lukaku gets the better of Beasler. He just shrugged by him to get to the well-rolled pass.

102'    Beasley gets a cross in from the near left and it's cut out but comes back to the left back. He loops it high and it comes to Jones far on the right. Jones takes a clearance from De Bruyne straight to the face and play stops.

98'      The US is now keeping possession. Dempsey sets up Jones who misfires and is tackled.

96'      VERTONGHEN!!! Takes too much time as he gets inside the US area and somehow messes up a three on two and hits meek shot that's blocked. It's collected by Howard.

93'      GOOOAAALL! BELGIUM 1 - 0 USA. Lukaku springs free of the US defense and cuts it back to De Bruyne. The US gets a foot on it, but De Bruyne collects and fires home under Howard from a tight angle.

90'      Kevin de Bruyne crosses into the middle for Vincent Kompany, but the captain's scuffed effort is turned away by the American stopper.

87'      Eden Hazard tears into the box and smashes his shot into the side-netting.

85'      MISS!!! Eden Hazard plays the ball into Divock Origi on the edge of the area, but after deciding against playing a one-two with his teammate, he fires a super effort on goal that is tipped over the crossbar by Tim Howard.

81'       Howard makes another save and punches it away from Hazard. Then the US breaks through Beasley but his cross is snuffed out.

57'      HOW DO BELGIUM NOT SCORE! Vertonghen sends in a hard cross along the six yard box. Besler can't get a foot on it. Neither can the man he's marking, De Bruyne. And then at the far post, Origi runs right over the top of the ball and collapses in a heap in the net.

49'      Long Belgian throw to Fellaini almost drops to the feet of Origi but it's cleared before he can get a shot off.  The second half is starting like the first ended: frenetic pace, lack of US possession, and Belgium knocking on the door.

48'      HOWARD SAVES THE US AGAIN! He scoops Mertens arcing header over for a corner. It's cleared.

36'      More gaps in the US defense but Hazard has a shot blocked. Meanwhile, De Bruyne heavily tackles DeMarcus Beasley and Klinsmann is pissed he wasn't booked.

34'      Yedlin's first touches win a corner on the right! Zusi takes it.Dempsey chests it down and tries to tee up Jones from 20 yards. Jones fires it wide.

32'      Early US substitution. Johnson is coming off with a hamstring injury. Yedlin will come on.

31'       Origi cuts into the US defense again, supported by De Bruyne and Mertens. His shot is blocked but this is worrying for the US. Not good defensively, relying on Belgian misses to stay in the game.

28'      Belgium win another corner. Jones clears it. And then another attack comes down the right. Gonzalez gets the ball stuck in his feet and gives away a corner but Gonzalez heads clear.

27'      The US tries to counterattack but it's too long for Dempsey. The US is looking more and more exposed defensively as the game wears on.

26'      ANOTHER HUGE CHANCE FOR BELGIUM! Hazard plays a through ball on the right and Beasley has to clear the ball almost off the line.

23'      BELGIUM MISS A GREAT CHANCE!! They break five on three against the US defence but De Bruyne drags his shot for 15 yards wide. Great end-to-end play from the teams.

22'      Belgium attack down the left and then Howard saves a long, wide shot and gets Beasley going down the left straight way. Both teams look like they could score.

21'       DEMPSEY! Goalkeeper saves! Dempsey and Bradley ping it between each other into the Belgian box and Bradley hits a shot on target but straight to the keeper.

18'       Yellow card to Geoff Cameron for a foul on Mertens. That came after a almost-promising attack from the US. Zusi feed Dempsey who pass to Bradley in the center, but he couldn't find Bedoya wide.

13'       Origi is down injured and goes off for treatment. Looks like he'll continue.

5'        The US have two almost attacks ended with passes that have the right idea but the wrong execution. First Cameron plays a ball to far for Zusi int the box and then Bradley breaks forward and overhits a pass to Dempsey.

2'        De Bruyne drives into the US midfield and at the back four. His shot is deflected for a corner. All Belgium so far.

Coach Juergen Klinsmann opts to drop holding midfielder Kyle Beckerman with Geoff Cameron coming into the side, while Alejandro Bedoya plays on the wing instead of Brad Davis.

The United States leave striker Jozy Altidore on the bench after he only recently returned to training following a hamstring injury, meaning Clint Dempsey again leads the attack.

Origi, who has scored once in three substitute appearances in Brazil, comes in for Romelu Lukaku who has yet to find the net at the World Cup. Kompany plays in central defence after passing a late fitness test following a groin injury.

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots hands a first World Cup start to striker Divock Origi while captain Vincent Kompany is passed fit to play.

The United States take on Belgium at the Fonte Nova arena in Salvador for a place in the World Cup quarterfinals.
