Many commented on his Facebook post that the minister himself violated the rules though he often "tells motorcycle riders to wear the helmet."

Quader, the general secretary of the ruling party, went to his constituency in Noakhali's Companyganj to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.

An album of 75 photos uploaded on his Facebook wall shows none of riders including the minister in a convoy of over a dozen motorbikes. All of them look very jubilant as the convoy of bikers followed the minister.

The photos were taken when the minister went to flood-affected areas to distribute relief.

One Habibur Rahman commented, "Hi minister, where is your helmet sir. How can you enforce traffic law since you are violating it?

Mahmudul Hoque Shishir wrote: "Helmet!!! What's that??? Everything is okay with the bosses. The issue is different in case of public (sic)."

"You belittle people on the streets for not wearing helmet. Where is the helmet on your own head??? People are supposed to learn from leaders like you," wrote Bayezid Islam Rayhan.

Quader vowed tough action against the motorcycle riders without the helmet last year in Dhaka. He was also seen campaigning for traffic rules on the streets on several occasions.
