"D for doctor and D for driver - and both of them do the same thing – hold the public hostage," is what Tuhin wrote in the post. And he drew the analogy from two recent incident.

First, the transport workers enforced a strike across the country after one of the drivers was sentenced to life in prison for killing a prominent film maker and a cinematographer in a road crash, and another driver was sentenced to death for running over and killing a woman.

Second, intern doctors in Bogra's Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital and seven other colleges joined a strike after the health ministry suspended four interns for six months for assaulting the relatives of a patient.

But his employer did not like the analogy.

Renata Limited fired Tuhin on Mar 5 for ‘violating service rules’ and posting ‘irresponsible and insulting’ comments on Facebook.

The pharmaceutical company has sent a termination letter signed by HR Manager Nishat Anwar. Renata also posted the news of sacking of its employee on their Facebook page.

Comments flooded the Facebook page with comments for and against Renata decision.  Some protested the company decision while some showed sympathy to Tuhin.

"D for doctor/D for driver/D for drugs of Renata/Banned forever," one of the comments reads.
