‘Chander Hashi’

The smile of the moon or a smile as big as the moon, whatever you call it – it was a day of smile for these street urchins who received new clothes for upcoming Eid festival, which their families cannot afford. A non-profit organisation called ‘Chander Hashi’ (the smile of the moon) provides education to the kids from the slums near Khilgaon level-crossing as part of their organisational mandate. This year they took another step to bring smiles to the faces the kids known as ‘tokai.’ ‘Chander Hashi’ collected money through mobile banking with the help of a Facebook campaign to buy Eid dresses for the kids.
