The media call is scheduled for 7:30pm on Tuesday at the party chairperson's Gulshan office, said senior leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

He told bdnews24.com that Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address the media.

"The media call is over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's remarks made on Aug 21 on Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha," said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi.

Speaking at a discussion on Tuesday, Hasina came down hard on Justice Sinha, who had advised the government to behave in mature manner and not react sharply to the verdict scrapping the amendment.

The verdict contains 'many irrelevant and contradictory remarks', Hasina said.  "There is a saying that freedom is good, but not for a child.”

“We don’t expect any childish behaviour," she said in a clear reference to Chief Justice Sinha's observations in the verdict and responses to criticism.
