Raushon sees hope for inflation as Ershad worries

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad was upset with spiralling inflation, even as he wished the country well on Eid.

But his wife and Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad hoped the situation would improve following the announcement of the final budget.

“Eid means happiness and joy. I greet all of our citizens this Eid. I pray that Eid brings the people growth and prosperity,” Ershad said at an Eid event organised by the Jatiya Party and its associated organisations on Monday in Dhaka’s Banani.

“However, there is one issue – the rising price of goods during Eid and the suffering it inflicts on the people.”

“Eid Mubarak to all Muslims in Bangladesh and across the world,” said Raushon Ershad. “People are suffering due to inflation. But, we hope the situation will become better once the next budget is passed.”

“After Eid we will have our party’s manifesto. We will go to every district and every district town. We hope to nominate 300 candidates for the next parliamentary elections. We will begin this work with a renewed enthusiasm after Eid.”
