Issues like disbanding RAB and a cancellation of the Rampal power plant project are missing in the plan, Vision 2030, according to Ganasasthaya Kendra founder Zafrullah.

He was speaking at a discussion organised by the Centre for National and Regional Research Studies on the Vision at the National Press Club on Sunday.

Khaleda unveiled the Vision, seemingly the party's election manifesto, on May 10.

"The BNP had clearly stated that it does not want the country to get dark with Indian coal through the Rampal power plant, but even the word Rampal is missing in the Vision," said Zafrullah.

"How could they do make such a mistake?" he wondered.

About RAB, Zafrullah said, "She (Khaleda) has said several times that RAB will be disbanded. But it is not mentioned anywhere in the 41-page Vision 2030 booklet."

He said he was also disappointed after seeing nothing against tobacco or about rations for workers.

Zafrullah also criticised the absence of any woman other than Khaleda in the party's highest policymaking body, the National Standing Committee.

"I am disappointed. There is no woman other than her (Khaleda) in the BNP Standing Committee. It's not good. At least, Selima Rahman (vice-chairman) could have been included," he said.
