The Awami League leader reacted to the party’s roadmap, before it was unveiled at the Westin hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Khaleda laid down the Vision 2030, seen as a crucial development roadmap for the party prior to the next election, just the way the Awami League unveiled its Vision 2021.
Before Khaleda’s presser, Qamrul told a discussion at the National Press Club: “What the BNP is doing is a stunt. Her vision will be a bluff.”
“The people cannot be misled this way. Their dream for power will always be a dream. It will never come true.”
He rejected the BNP’s demand for a poll-time neutral government. “The next election will be held in time. And that election will be held in line with the constitution. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lead that election-time government.”
The BNP has refused to take part in parliamentary election held under a partisan government. The party boycotted the 10th parliamentary election because the demand was not met.
