The organisation in a press conference in Chittagong on Saturday announced that it would demonstrate against the decision on Apr 17 and 18 and submit memoranda to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through all the district authorities on Apr 20.

Its Member Secretary Mosaheb Uddin Bokhteyar said the government 'shocked the nation' by the order recognising Wahhabi-Deobandi Qawmi madrasa degree.

"They never showed loyalty to the government or follow government rules. Their curriculum is not approved by the government. The law enforcers had charged baton to disperse them during the mayhem at Motijheel's Shapla Chattar in 2013," Mosaheb said.

He also said the government's sympathy for Wahhabi-Salafi Qawmi madrasa would 'only lead to the rise in extremism'.

He demanded that the government recognise the Qawmi madrasa degree only if these institutions adopt Aliya madrasa curriculum and hold exams with same question papers.
