A year after the split Inu-led JaSoD to hold rally in Dhaka Saturday
A year after the split, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu-led Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSoD) is going to hold a rally in the capital in an attempt to inspire the leaders and activists.

The rally will be held in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday to mobilise support for uprooting militancy, putting an end to corruption and inequality, and establishing good governance and socialism, JaSoD Assistant Office Secretary Sazzad Hossain told bdnews24.com.
The left-wing JaSoD suffered the split when Inu installed Shirin Akhter as general secretary at its last National Council on Mar 12 last year.
The ‘rebels’ announced Sharif Nurul Ambia as president while MPs Moin Uddin Khan Badal executive president with Nazmul Haque Prodhan general secretary of the committee bifurcating the party once again.
Both the factions claimed themselves as the mainstream JaSoD and demanded its electoral symbol 'torch' during a hearing organised by the Election Commission last year.
On Apr 13, the EC allotted the symbol to the faction led by Inu and Shirin, recognising them as the mainstream JaSoD.
Explaining Saturday's rally, a senior leader of Inu's JaSoD told bdnews24.com that there would be ‘instructional speeches’ on the next parliamentary election in the rally.
"More programmes will be taken in the future to inspire the leaders and activists," he said.
The Ambia-Moin-Prodhan faction has also been organising political programmes, claiming themselves as mainstream JaSoD, though they were denied its symbol 'torch'.
Several bids failed to reunite the factions of JaSoD, a partner of the ruling Awami League-led coalition.
Former GS of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU), Mushtaq Hossain, who is in the rebel faction now, stipulated a condition that Inu will have to step down as information minister for the reunification.
JaSoD General Secretary Shirin was ready for the reunification but did not agree with the condition set by the other faction.
