Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi speaking at a press conference on Friday wondered, "What evidence does it point out to?"

He said high officials of 'a country' close to the government are touring government installations.

Rizvi alleged the Awami League government "is leaking state secret to their overlords to stay in power".

His comments came in the wake of the Jan 30 visit by Shringla to inspect the Indo-Bangla Friendship Building and the ICT centre at the Sardah Police Academy.

He also later inspected the Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry office, Joy Kali Temple and the Town Hall.

Rizvi said that it was one of the many ways in which the government is trying to appease the 'neighbouring country'.

He said doing so is earning nothing for Bangladesh.

He said India's unilateral Anti Dumping Tax on jute and jute products is threatening to stall Bangladesh exports of the commodity.

The BNP leader rued that despite several facilities being doled out by the Awami League government to India, Bangladesh is getting 'nothing in return.'
