Charge framing against BNP's Mirza Fakhrul in violence case deferred

A Dhaka court has deferred hearing to frame charges against 23 BNP leaders and activists including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a violence case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Nur Nabi on Monday set Nov 13 as the next date for hearing in Fakhrul's presence.
 
The case was filed on Mar 2, 2013, against the BNP leaders and activists for perpetrating violence in the capital’s Malibagh area.

Shahjahanpur police SI Ruhul Amin Munshi submitted the chargesheet on Mar 20, 2013.
Fakhrul’s lawyer Joynal Abedin Mezbah pleaded for more time as one of the accused Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel was not produced before the court, as he is currently in jail.
The court's bench-clerk Mizanur Rahman said that the charge farming date in this case has been deferred for over 30 times until now.
