Metropolitan Special Tribunal-1 judge Kamrul Hossain gave the order on Wednesday after taking cognisance of the charge sheet filed by the police in February.

The 67 facing arrest include BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel, Personal Secretary Shamsuzzaman Shimul Biswas, Joint Secretary General Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel, former Chhatra Dal president Azizul Bari Helal and Mahila Dal leader Shirin Sultana.

Their lawyer Sanaullah Mia told bdnews24.com that Mugda police had filed the case on Feb 17, 2015, over the charges of obstructing police work and vandalism.

They accused 93 people in the chargesheet submitted in court on Jul 8.

Mia said BNP leaders MK Anwar and Moqbul Akanda appeared before court on Wednesday and secured bail in this case.

This was, however, the second arrest warrant for Selima in two cases in as many days.

On Tuesday, another court had issued arrest warrant for 16 people including the BNP vice-chairperson in another case.
