She made the pledge while delivering a speech at an Iftar gathering in a Dhaka hotel on Wednesday.

The BNP chief hosted the Iftar for families of the BNP leader and activists, who had been picked up allegedly by persons identifying themselves as members of security agencies since 2013, but have not returned.

Former MP M Ilias Ali’s wife Tahsina Rushdir Luna was among the members of 38 such families.

“We want to make it clear that the RAB and police personnel, who are linked to these killings and forced disappearances, will never be spared. They will be tried someday,” Khaleda said.

“Those who conducted these killings and abductions will be hunted down once democracy is restored,” she added.
