He was released from Khulna District Prison on Monday evening after securing bail from the High Court, jail Superintendent Qamrul Islam said.
Moni, a leader of the BNP, surrendered before Khulna Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on Mar 23 in the two cases and was subsequently sent him to jail.
Police accused 45 persons, including Moni, of attacking police and carrying out violence during a BNP protest on Nov 26, 2013.
The government suspended him on Nov 2 last year after the investigator charged 52 in court on Apr 30.
The other case was started against the suspended mayor on Jan 4, 2014.
