Earlier on Thursday, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrates Court sent him to prison rejecting his bail petition after he had surrendered before it.

The anti-graft body filed the case against Annie on Oct 9, 2014.

ACC Deputy Director Mahbubul Alam pressed charges in the court against him on Jun 18, 2015.

The charge-sheet said the BNP leader had withhold information of wealth worth over Tk 1.31 million in the statement he submitted to the commission.

It said he also owned assets valued at Tk 2.24 million beyond his known sources of income.
