Falling back on sarcasm, Gayeshwar had this to say in his dismissal of Huda’s new venture, “He has floated a new party — calling it ‘Trinamool’ (grassroots) or ‘Chhinnamool’ (floating or rootless) or whatever.”
Gayeshwar was speaking to the media on Friday at the BNP headquarters.
“Even he (Huda) cannot be sure how many parties he has floated until now,” the BNP leader continued in his sarcastic tone.
Huda, a founder member of the BNP, claimed the Khaleda Zia-led party was in a “failed state” as he made the announcement regarding his latest party.
He said he was floating the party to “save” the BNP.
“We cannot let the BNP, loved by millions, to be obliterated only because of its leaders. The BNP must start afresh with a new name,” he reasoned.
