The bench of justices Md Rezaul Haque and Md Khasruzzaman gave the order on Sunday, which clears the way for the BNP leader's release from jail, said his lawyer Nitai Chowdhury.

In December 2013, the case was filed at the Rampura police station.

In May last year, Goyeshwar secured bail from in the High Court in the case.

Police pressed charges against the BNP Standing Committee member on Mar 20 this year and Goyeshwar failed to appear before the trial court on Nov 3 for a hearing.

He went to the court the next day and sought bail, but was denied that and sent to prison.

Goyeshwar moved the High Court against the order, which was heard on Sunday.

"The court has granted bail until the appeal is resolved. With the latest order, Goyeshwar has secured bail in all 27 cases against him, which means there is no hurdle left for his release."
