“The questions were leaked. This was a fake exam. The results published today must be cancelled,” party spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon told a media briefing.

He asked the government to conduct fresh entrance tests and adopt ‘stern measures’ to prevent leak.

Almost 83,000 students took the test on Friday to get admitted to the 44 medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh.

A total of 48,448 students have cleared the written test for 11,049 seats in MBBS and BDS courses in these colleges.

Meanwhile, admission –seekers in different parts of Bangladesh agitated on Saturday over the alleged leak of questions.

A Supreme Court lawyer has filed a petition in High Court on Sunday seeking cancellation of the test.

The BNP says that they support the students’ agitations and finds it ‘justified’.

“The government denies that questions were leaked, then why the RAB arrested few, including an assistant director of the University Grants Commission for their involvement in leaking?”said BNP leader Ripon.

He said the leaked questions were available on the social media the night before the test.

“Those involved can be traced by tracking their Facebook Ids, but the government did not do that and just published the results,” said the BNP’s international affairs secretary.
