BNP leader Rizvi sent to hospital from jail

Senior BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been taken to hospital form prison.

He was moved to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University from Kashimpur jail on Saturday noon.
 
Kashimpur's Jailor Md Nasir Ahmed said the BNP leader was first moved to the Dhaka Central Jail. From there he was taken to the hospital's prison cell in the afternoon.
 
"He has some problems in his gullet and he was vomiting at regular intervals," he told bdnews24.com.
 
A BSMMU doctor said the BNP joint secretary general underwent a surgery after he was hit by a bullet in 1984.
 
He had an intestinal obstruction after the surgery which causes pain and vomiting on regular basis.
 
Rizvi is also suffering from other ailments, he added.
