Chamber judge Justice Hasan Foez Siddique on Tuesday gave the order after the state contested the three-month bail given in a Feb 5 case filed with Joydebpur police over arson of a bus.

The High Court on July 21 gave him three-month bail in another violence-related case registered with Kaliakoir police.

Deputy Attorney General Khondker Diliruzzaman , who represented the state, confirmed bdnews24.com of the stay order.

Mannan has been in prison since being picked up from his Baridhara residence on Feb 11.
Panel Mayor Asadur Rahman Kiron  has been running the city corporation from Mar 8.

Diliruzzaman said the stay order meant Mannan, who had earlier secured bail in all the cases against him, would not be walking out of prison for a while.
