He spoke over the next general election in Parliament on Saturday amidst BNP’s allegation that there is a plot to keep Khaleda out of the election by involving her in cases.

“Ms Khaleda Zia’s political future is finished. She will have to stand trial," Inu said.
“In the 2019 elections, democratic forces will fight democratic forces in that election.
“There is no chance of an obsolete force fighting that election. There will be no chance for terror-patron Khaleda Zia to take part in that election,” he added.
The information minister, referred to as ‘minister of Khaleda Zia affairs’ by BNP leaders several times, also said in the general discussion on the proposed budget that no one ‘backed by Razakars or army’ would be in power in Bangladesh anymore.
“Khaleda Zia has taken herself away from the politics of development and become redundant,” Inu said.
