This removes all obstacles for the release of the BNP acting secretary general from jail, according to his lawyers.

The bench of Justices Md Rezaul Haque and Md. Khasruzzaman granted interim bail for Mirza Fakhrul in the cases filed with Paltan Police for vandalism and arson.

“Mirza Fakhrul has got bail in all of the seven cases against him. There’s no more hurdles for his release from jail,” the BNP leader’s lawyer Joynul Adedin told bdnews24.com.

He said that the court has issued a rule asking why Mirza Fakhrul will not be granted permanent bail and Dhaka’s deputy commissioner has been asked to come up with explanations by four weeks.
