Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla on Sunday rejected the petition after a hearing.

Anti Corruption Commission’s lawyer Mosharraf Hossain Kajal argued Latif Siddique’s case.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court earlier had denied him bail in seven cases over the same charges.

On Sep 29, 2014, Siddique allegedly made derogatory remarks on Hajj while speaking at a programme in New York.

Following the incident, dozens of cases were filed against him in different courts throughout Bangladesh.

Besides losing his Cabinet position, he saw the Awami League cancel his membership.

On Nov 23, 2014, Siddique returned from India.

The next day, he surrendered before court that sent him to prison.
