“I want to tell them that stop doing excesses,” she said on Tuesday.

The BNP chief was exchanging views with leaders and activists of Jatiyabadi Muktijoddha Dal at her office in Gulshan.
She condemned Sunday’s attack on Chhatra Union’s protest against sexual harassment of women during Bengali New Year celebrations at Dhaka University
“You all know about the assault on women at TSC on Pahela Baishakh. That incident is a shame for Bangladesh, including the freedom fighters,” she said.
The former prime minister alleged that the government did not arrest those responsible for the sexual harassment, since ‘they are pro-government activists’.
About the attack on Chhatra Union’s protest, Khaleda said, “The government has turned Bangladesh into a police state.
“You saw how police beat up the students. The government wants to destroy and disable the next generation in this way,” she said.
