Mogens Jensen met the BNP chief at her Gulshan office on Thursday night.

BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan and Khaleda’s Adviser Abdul Kayum were present at the meeting.

BNP leaders only said Jensen and Khaleda discussed political issues in the 40-minute meeting.

Earlier in the day, Jensen told a press conference: “It’s my hope that the political unrest you experience in Bangladesh is possible to solve.”

The BNP chief has been in the office for over two and a half months.

She has not left the office since police stopped her to leave it amidst tension over demonstration in the beginning of January.

Barred by police to demonstrate, she called an indefinite blockade on Jan 5.

The blockade and shutdowns along with it have led to more than 120 deaths with hundreds injured. Thousands of vehicles have been damaged.
