He made the suggestions while talking to reporters on Sunday after moving the High Court for shifting two graft cases against former prime minister from a special court.
Hossain, also the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, said: “The 160 million people of the country can’t even think that the head of the government will allege that Khaleda Zia has misappropriated money meant for orphans.”
He said: “It’s unfortunate. I’ve said repeatedly that she hails from a reputed family. Please have a better attitude in this situation.
“Today you’re in power. Someone else will come tomorrow. Power is not permanent.
“We know the history of the world. Political changeovers happen. We all should keep in mind what may happen when there will be changeovers,” he added.
Khaleda’s lawyers submitted a petition with a High Court bench on Jan 28 seeking orders for shift of the Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases from a special court trying the cases.
As the jurisdiction of the bench changed, they moved another bench on Sunday.
